i know its not worth it for rail if rail costs about $1.5million per km its about 200km so $300million extra in capex...
not sure what the pipeline would cost...
but either way a low CAPEX in this financing environment would be more desirable even if less economic maybe? a lower capex will make sure the project gets up and running ASAP and capitalise on the ag boom ASAP. so for that reason maybe thats why they are avoiding the piping anyway - even if its more economic?
