On 31 Jan, PEN announced the NRC's issuance of RAI's. In part the announcement stated:

"The RAIs were issued ahead of NRC’s schedule and were significantly less in number than have typically been expected. Peninsula believes this was due to the comprehensive nature of the original application submitted by Strata. The Strata permitting team has anticipated the content of most RAIs and have already commenced the work necessary to lodge detailed responses within a shortened time frame"

Strata presented its responses to NRC at a meeting last night and the documents have just been uploaded to Adams.

700 pages of response! If that is what is required for "significantly less in number than have typically been expected", I would hate to have to pour through the responses to a 'typical' number!

Looks very comprehensive and professional. Lets see if one round is sufficient. Pretty necessary to ensure the December 2012 target for the Draft EIS.
