Storage is being added to the cost right now . It's called ' firming ' and it's being built into contracts that are getting written . It actually adds a surprisingly small amount extra .
Snowy Hydro is already offering price estimates . Tasmania's big battery reckon they can do their project for half the cost of Snowy 2.0 so there is already quite a bit of firming data to work with .
Please post some costings for HELE generators that you are familiar with . Especially one that would be built in Australia with all the controls , costs and conditions that would occur here .
The only one that I have seen was a study by the minerals council and even they couldn't make it work .
