    What about Allende? Capitalism cannot tolerate Darwinian competition, or perhaps that is Darwinian competition. The US government has to intervene in Latin America to overthrow any government that's not conducive to US or to capitalist interests. That's called the Monroe Doctrine. Capitalism is a fragile system that needs violent enforcement. There is nothing natural or preordained about it. It's a temporary system that exists in our time.
