My goodness. The Australian stock exchange must be the seediest, least ethical legal institution I have ever encountered. I have only been trading for 3 years but wow. Just...wow. If I had known...I would have done things a lot differently. Naively, it didn't occur to me to look for signs of deception, or manipulation. I shouldn't have concentrated so much on the companies at the beginning as the exchange itself. Currently sitting in a big red hole for being stupidly unaware. Now I am loathe to put money on ANY company that isn't large cap because of what I have seen...no matter how solid they appear.
