1000 is reachable of course if there is a nuclear, chemical or other means of warfare tools out there. However if we are talking about economics, market trends, and inflations over valuations and other financial dramas, then your 1000 level is fanciful. There is a value in the market somewhere and I always believed and held the view that wall street market is worth half of what it is been traded on, when it was close to the 15000 mark.
Last and more importantly you do not call a crash on the financial market until it reaches about half of what it was worth at some point.

This will probably dwarf the 1920’s crash in my opinion.
