    Soooo...............no facts then ?

    No numbers.

    No evidence.

    No proof.

    Just old man waffle.

Who paid for that existing grid infrastructure ? The fairies ?

Has that grid infrastructure had to be upgraded as the population of SA has grown ?

As new businesses have been built ?

ls the SA grid the same grid that it was in the 1940s when it was nationalised or has it been modified and upgraded since then ?

Who paid for those upgrades ?

What happened when it's coal fired power stations shutdown 10years ago ? Any infrastructure upgrades required to replace that generation ?

SA has always had to import power from the other states. Even when it was a 100% coal generated state. So it's always needed an interconnector.

Now SA is progressing to the point where it will be a net electricity exporter for the first time . Something that puts it in the box seat . lt also means that having distributed energy resources are even more important in a large state such as SA as the electricity is largely used where it is generated . A big win where distribution costs are high.
Having more electricity than it can use and having a method of exporting that electricity is good for everyone. lt means cheaper power for SA which is great for attracting business investment. lt means more clean electricity for the National grid which is very good for the nation by helping us achieve a net zero emissions goal.

As usual you are behind the times and living in the past while pretending you know what you're talking about.

You should learn to shut up and stop embarrassing yourself. wink.png
