Nice summation. As you say logistics is now the key and if we solve that problem it brings a major rerating plus more value will be attributed to exploration potential. We're in a position of strength (as I understand it from posters like haemitite, uio) because our ore is highly sought after for blending (being high grade, low impurity) but if it weren't possible to negotiate a favourable deal with RIO/BHP we shouldn't have too much trouble raising the funds for a 100km rail spur....it's probably a very good thing having the iron sheik on the share register from that perspective. (Then there is the option to truck 2mtpa down the highway, not ideal but should get the cash pouring in.)
But yes there is a small leap of faith required at this point before the real value can be unlocked.
