I am struggling with something at the moment. SPL made an announcement to the market in December 2023 stating that the results from the Phase 2 Trial for DEP Docetaxel were positive.
Now in May 2024 we are told by SPL that DEP Docetaxel is not a commercially significant opportunity.......
So SPL has developed this product from preclinical - Clinical Ph1 and Ph 2 trials and spending BIG $s all the way and also cashing in on KPI's and performance bonuses along the way. Now to tell us that the product itself is NOT A COMMERCIALLY SIGNIFICANT opportunity.... Surely this could have been determined at any point along this expensive and time consuming journey.
I have to ask, How can we possibly trust announcements coming out of SPL moving forward, when we are told after more than a decade of development (of a drug platform that we have repeatably been told to be a BLOCKBUSTER) that the trial results are POSITIVE but Woops the product just is not commercially significant enough to push forward with......
