As a company SPL is well funded. The problem is that the current board and management are not up to the number one task of a private enterprise company, which is to sell products or services and make a profit. For years they have been getting no where at that task, yet they have been paying themselves extremely well, and continue to do so, despite their abysmal record. There is no incentive for them to change their ways while the well funded company pays them for their poor sales results. I think the currrent board and management need to be replaced by people who understand how to make a profit. If the current board and management stay, the company will never go anywhere and their salaries and perks will just keep draining its coffers. They may be well intentioned, but the results over years show they just don't have what it takes.
