Now that the United Nations general assembly held a special meeting yesterday dealing specifically with the threat we face from the diminishing effects of antibiotics a golden opportunity has arisen for Cheryl and the board to push hard on SPL7013 V antibiotics particularly for prevention and treatment of BV.
Our chief medical officer Paul Kelly was interviewed on the 7.30 report last night and voiced his serious concerns regarding this developing problem.
The Victorian department of health will not recommend Fleurstat for BV despite it's approval but instead recommend antibiotics. Not sure about other health authorities.
The question for us shareholders is will our people make a concerted effort to capitalize on this?
