My understanding also is that the DEP technology platform can be applied to a number of other drugs also, it's just that they've decided to focus on oncology. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I see a lot of progress being made in cancer research and other approaches, such as immunotherapy, which may make chemo drugs obsolete one day. But I can't see anything ever superseding VivaGel. And there are other applications for this also, such as conjunctivitis. So I guess there are other areas they can use the DEP for as well, especially where patents are concerned. It's just that oncology is the most profitable and least risky area to target first. This would make them a very attractive acquisition imo. I also get the feeling that SPL is in play behind closed doors. Maybe Jackie would be happy to hand over the reigns after 12 years at the helm and she is waiting to see it through to handover. The reality is that everything SPL has to offer would be expedited in bigger hands anyway. Either way, there are big revenues ahead. The wait is frustrating, but patience will prevail.
