I must be an unsophisticated investor because I'm not buying. Until there is new management I can't have confidence in this company. I was worried when I sold the last of my SPL in December that I may miss out when/if they finally realize some of their potential. Since selling I have done very well. Two Canadian energy stocks I invested heavily in, BRY and VET, have gone up greatly. Every $10,000 in BRY is now worth $30,000 and every $10,000 in Vet is now worth $26,700. So $20,000 invested between the two is now $56,700. That $20,000 would be worth $9,836 if still in SPL. In addition, I have now sold the energy stocks and invested in a dividend stock that pays 6.8%. I will get $3,855 in dividends per year, and this will very likely grow. That's the same as if $9,836 of SPL paid a 40% dividend!
