The auction works by finding the price at which most shares trade. There were 65 shares on offer at $1.175 or better and the bids at $1.17 would be sufficient to clear these.
However there were multiple bids which would pass the test and the lowest of these was selected.
Therefore ten trades went rhrough on the ASX at 16:10 auction close, all at $1.165 for a total of 64 shares.
The conclusion which one must make is that, when multiple bids pass the greatest volume test then the the lowest bid is selected and that was $1.165 not $1.170.
