@virusself It's parasitic to me because I've spent my working life creating, building and expanding things. Therefore, to make money by destroying the value of a company, even one built on false promises, is counterintuitive. It's very likely that you and most people who make their money hunkered over a screen all day shorting stocks (and helping the process by posting reams of drivel online) have never built jack.

Is shorting to blame for ADN's tumble? No. Does shorting have a place in the system? Sure. So does selling used cars, real estate, insurance and televangelism - that doesn't make any of them ethical, honourable or respectable ways of making money.
