Yes I agree, it's unlikely to go away. There'll be some investigation, with some rules implemented to make it look like they're doing something, but the story will remain the same. If they could at least ban/regulate bots or make houses pay the same brokerage rates we do, to avoid the multiple small parcel trades used to manipulate prices, I'd be more satisfied. Won't hold my breathe though.
