There are a couple of mentions in the 19 March 2024 Council Meeting:
Andromeda Poochera Kaolin Mine
The company is still seeking further investment to proceed to the construction phase of the mine. The Poochera Port Kenny Road Upgrade and Maintenance Agreement is now nearing finalisation.
Chandada Portion Road Closure - Andromeda Mine
Council endorsed at the December meeting to proceed to Stage 2 of the process. Andromeda and their surveyor have been advised, a Draft Road Agreement for the closure has been forwarded. Council has now completed its portion of this work. Andromeda are still required to sign the Road Agreement before the process can be finalised, this is being followed up by their surveyor.
What I take from these minutes;
1) Confirmation that Andromeda are continuing with raising additional investment.
2) Keeping a tight hold on cash with no inclination to spend until necessary.
3) Continuing support from the Streaky Bay Council that refutes allegations that they are against upgrading roads connected with the mine.
