Yes, I understand what you are trying.
However, wind farms can be backed by batteries, thus providing the same base load power.
Gas is available now. That's an advantage. But I would expect the wind farm to be completed before Walyering is exhausted.
But remember, gas will eventually have to be replaced. Its life is finite.
That's how I see it.
