they don’t have capacity to supply a big car company who would have agreements in place already or are already spending millions on battery tech.
Don’t worry as we expand capacity it will come but I understand these smaller contracts initially so we can make sure we get our production and supply right. A contract with an big car company would have damages clauses for failure to supply etc so increases our risk big time when just starting out production. It’s very smart really and once the batteries are out and the market sees it’s performance then the much bigger contracts will come knocking on more favourable terms
