If u think about the bots and algorithms used to trade in SMN in small, "non-retail" parcels, retail holders can use such trading to pick off bargains at low SPs and to sell at inflated prices.
If a broker puts too much control and strategy on "tree shakes", a trader be they retail or insto can pick off such bots by buying low to top up or average lower and selling high or skimming to limits/ skimming to diversify IMHO.
It can work both ways.
