Dear Eagle you might remember or you could DYOR re the first Gulf War..


We were told how the detestable Iraqis in Kuwait went to the kiddies hospital , bayoneted the premature babies ( at least we were not ready to absorb how the bastards minced them into kebabs) and took the valuable humidicribs back to Baghdad

It was latter discovered ( and easy to discover) that the huge American PR company that broke and promoted these horrible events , did not actually interview a real tearful "nurse" but the young daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador who was no nurse from a children' shospital.. And the PR company and the politicians hiring it believed that not only would the "world" swallow their "fake news" and lies but no one would later much care.
( DYOR but our worthy Paul J Keating (After Words) also mentioned this case as an example why you could not always believe the "facts" put out by the good and moral, albeit immensely hypocritical USA.)
