Nah, there assigned to police the review numbers instead to keep the one star number down !!
There going to make there "increasing customer satisfaction" quote for the 14th month in a row after today.
Doing it for December is going to be a bit trickier for them because the overall rating peaked at 4.1466 on 18th November and is now down at 4.1453 (on 17,518 reviews) thus the current 30 day rolling review number is going to start looking rather sickly around the time of the Q&A unless they start getting more & better reviews than is currently happening (current score for last 14 days is just 3.6486 but it only covers 37 reviews & only includes 7 one star reviews & I've seen many more than that going through but some are people just complaining again with different text in the review from the previous time).
At some point the penny will finally drop with them & they'll realise that customer service & product quality are 2 completely different metrics. The review rating mainly relates to how good the App is, the comments are the only bit that break down and show your level of customer service and sadly Syntonics is not good and Gary & Rahul sadly don't understand that.
If they sent out a survey to there userbase and asked a simple question they would be shocked by the rating they would see in front of them.
"Could you please rate Freeway By Syntonics customer service on a scale of 1 to 5"
The answer won't be anywhere near 4 never mind 4.14.
