If data is as valuable a commodity as the majors believe then who is best placed to provide the pipes to direct the flow of this commodity in relation to the largest population centres in the world?
Especially given the lack of wired infrastructure in those markets? Where is the connected access for the new uses in the developing nations?

And if data is so valuable will it be as valuable if it is skewed by being filtered on an individual carrier basis?

Surely being the conduit to the broadest cross section of data in these markets will eventually have significant value as will negating the need for the rollout of land based infrastructure and the capacity to allow free movement across differing providers for different uses.
