I bought qbe last week for around 19 and csl for around 29 -I'm sitting on small losses for both of them.
I also have had the same strategy as you -bought CBA for 26, BHP for 26, MQG for 20 etc....I have been buying stocks that have been heavily shorted by the market.
My problem is that this strategy can take time to work- and I get impatient -and more than often it keeps going lower than my purchase price.
My worry -is yes we might have a small correction and CSL and QBE will lift. But we could be in the middle of the biggest recoveries in the stockmarket ever and maybe parking your money in defensive stocks may not be a good way to go right now- I suppose it's like having lots of aggressive stocks in OCT 07 -certainly having a bit of cash in defensives will have no harm at all -that's what I'm doing
