Agree, it seems to me that Silicon anode producers are basically just adding their product to the graphite. Today we are at 10%, in the coming 5 years we may get to 20%. What this means is that you need less graphite per kWh. But considering planed expansions in battery production I'm not worried.
Talga plan to produce 100 ktpa of Talnode-C would mean:
- 100 kWh if used pure Talnode-C
- 220 kWh if used with 10% SiNANOde
- 360 kWh if used with 20% SiNANOde
These are theoretical numbers (from OneD site) and don't forget Talga has their own product when it comes to adding Silicon and if it's at least as good as competition they have the added benefit of doing it all in house. In the case of OneD, graphite must be supplied by the battery manufacturer and then OneD makes the final anode product.
