It depends to some extent on exchange rates and consumer preferences, if any, for buying 'local' product but to my mind TGR has scope to further cut in to the market share of imported salmon and prawns. The recent WOW recall of vannamei prawns (discussed previously on 'HC') is a warning as to what consumers can experience, although to be fair as you point out, local aquaculture also has risks.

Has Tassle fixed up the toxic mess in Macquarie Harbour ? Huon seems to be the environmentally responsible one. Perhaps that's why Twiggy Forrest bought a stake.

Personally, I prefer the flavours of Huon salmon. But Tassle salmon has the just right degree of saltiness.
