Thanks for all the info.

My own reading suggests this company is not direct competition to PBT2 in drug terms. Though if successful it will scoop up a large amount of the prize money.

It also seems to have the same potential problems as PBT2 in that many people are sceptical of its phase 2 trial results. They are not sure how it affects tangles. They have limited ability to detect tangles and have not included any biomarkers in their current trials. They are also going for orphan drug status with another disease, though they also have Alzhiemers trials as well.

Their drug is over a 100 years old (not their new modified version though) and is well tolerated and generally safe. Long term affects in ill patience is unknown.

It targets Tau, may have some effect on A-beta.
