Since the Federal Government has, over time, sold virtually all SOEs, its only way to raise revenue is to tax and IMO the lack of appropriate taxing over the past decade has caused our Governments' mountain of debt.
And if you are a dinky di capitalist as I am , then you have to admit that the debt has to be repaid ...eh Its one of the pillars of modern capitalism which is driven by credit . As a stock market investor you would have to at least admit that...eh?
