The american truck market is completely different to the australian one.
Would like to see an electric b-double carrying 60 ton over some of the ranges here but things are changing here with distribution centers starting up further out of city limits and going from there in smaller trucks, so would benefit in this area.
But there is too much fuel tax generated with diesel to get them excited at this stage.
If you have ever driven on the interstates hwy's and seen the hugh truck stops they have along the way.
Most trucks don't carry the heavy weight as they do here and the reason for a more lightweight electric trucks which can travel around 75mph as they do now over there.
Also they have charging stations nearly every 200 miles now over there so an extension to that would be not an isue.
All the heavy carting is usually done by trains which travel in parallel to the interstates up to 2 miles long with carrying containers 2 high.
