Yes that is what I have read.
The analogy I was trying to draw was an artificial low interest rate environment by intervention in the bond market.
A 'floor' in interest rates by governments printing debt to buy bonds. Nothing stopped the open market in wool re-balancing perhaps nothing will stop holders of US debt from selling it.
