Everyone has choices in life.
People choose which radio/tv/newspaper/internet news they want to listen to/watch or read based on the content of what the relevant medium contains.
That their ABC audience is in terminal decline shows that the audience is not interested in what their ABC puts out.
Don't sheet all the blame on Ita, the editor in chief and the rest of the Board share that responsibility. Just like the Board of a public company they can direct the management to go in a particular direction.
If they started putting out things that appealed to middle Australia their audience may increase.
It's not rocket science.
