Generally an offer is made then a scheme of arrangement sent out which will have an offer for listed shares and options, you can make a decision to convert your options before the take over date based on this offer or take what the are offering for your listed options.
Anyone on here saying that you should convert your options straight away if they are 'In the money' to avoid losing them is giving IMO terrible and irresponsible advice.
