    Yes there is an access issue at the mouth of the river - at low tide there is only 1.4 m of water and the tugs draft is 2.6 m so loading is limited to when there is enough water .By this time after one season I’m sure they will have it sussed out and will know when they can can get over the sand bars at the entrance.some days there is hardly any disturbance to the tugs movements due to the higher height of low water plus the 1.4 m still on the bar( if that makes sense)
    This will continue because the Gov has refused permission to dredge the entrance on environmental grounds ( protecting the breeding grounds of the saw shark and other marine organisms ) they did however allow some “profiling” of the entrance.CSIRO do a survey a couple of time a year to ensure everything is in order - conducting water sampling and checking on the saw shark etc
