An elephant is a field that contains at least one billion, not a million, barrels of oil. I have better explained it at my Yahoo Group website, The Elephant Fields.

So, we are hoping that Mbawa has at least one billion barrels of oil. It's P-50 figure is 4.9 billion barrels. I think if it's an elephant area and not a gas area, we'll see around 3 billion barrels of oil.

Now, if it's a gas field, let's hope it's seversl trillion cubic feet of gas. I believe that 5 tcf of gas is equal to 1 Billion barrels of oil equivalent. That said, I would be pleased to hear 14 tcf of gas announced, especially since we are partnered with one of the most prodigous gas companies in the world. That being Apache. We are also partnered in another block with a VERY capable gas producer, the BG Group, a world leader in natural gas.

Gas will be monitized in this situation.
