@elee - I haven't listened to the lot - my one comment is that owning property does not make you free. But owning a bit gives one a nice feeling.

I do own a house and am proud of it, but I cannot take it with me when I die - and it costs me a fair bit of effort and also money to keep it in order, tidy, free of flammable accumulations of dry bush, grass, leaf litter etc. - the house 'does not produce anything' except it gives me shelter and with a bit of luck, there will be some accumulated funds from the sale once I pass, to be handed over to my descendants.

But i have lived in a European city, where there was absolutely no need, for example, to own a car, schools were free, unless you wanted religious etc. education - a lot of material needed at school was also supplied free of charge. There was then a general health service, which included dental work, not free, because it was paid into by the working population AND the employer, similar with the Pension. Kindergarten was free, music classes were free. There were public swimming pools just for children, also; entry free!

Very few people owned the flats they lived in, but they paid a low rent - some of the government housing which was very good, because a lot of it had been built post WWI to the latest standards, then prevailing - is still fairly cheap and major problems are still solved by 'the government' - the tenants, however can paint or wallpaper the walls, some even have divided the internal space differently with removable partitions, have installed showers in the older units etc.

I think, a lot of the things she talks about can become reality and not affect our sense of well-being, or the feeling of 'being in charge' etc. and it would be better for the planet. However, human beings will always find a way to make a bit of money 'on the side' and petty capitalism will survive, you can be sure of that.

But because America is having an existential crisis and has decided to divide their population into two camps (at least) does not mean the rest of the world has to follow suit. We have a different -and much safer - system of government in other Western democracies - let Americans decide their historic guilt, inequalities, inability to accept the black man, obsession with 'socialism' 'religion' - the lord' 'disadvantaged citizens' - we do not need their baggage nor their imported idea of what their version of democracy is like - America's is not a true democracy and it is on very shaky ground, as we have recently observed.
    Go well
