I'm very satisfied with the process, as our court system is usually very fair and just. In Australia we very rarely convict people who are years later found to be not guilty. The judge didn't allow the claims of Pell touching up a couple of kids in a swimming pool in Balarat to be heard, which benefited Pell's defense. It was a closed court process which also benefited Pell's defense. Nobody in this thread was in the courtroom and heard any of the evidence so are in zero position to challenge the judge's decision. Pell's own lawyer said after the decision was handed down that it was merely " no more than a plain vanilla sexual penetration case" which imo says a lot. I think it's wrong to say the media is asking questions about the verdict, as all media isn't, it seems to be the conservative media who have jumped on this in an attempt to discredit the verdict in preparation for the appeal. Just gru**..oops I mean mates looking after mates, just like Pell supported Risdale.
