Agree, I'm willing to back the court process and decision. Even if innocent of sexual crimes himself, which seems highly unlikely, I have no sympathy for the systematic approach taken by the church to protect paedophiles at all costs even if detrimental to the abused and then move them on to other parishes to risk other children and risk destroying families. No-one is naive to think that the sheer quantity of incidents over decades was not known by those in positions to make it right. Every suspected case should have been reported to the police and full co-operation offered. This crime is a massive historical blight on our society. The responsible people, whether directly, or by convenient ignorance, have to pay for their crimes.
