Some polemicists claim that the Prophet (sws) first attacked the poor Meccan merchants after he was kicked out of Mecca and that in this case he was the first aggressor. They therefore insist on this fact to consider Islam as being a bellicose religion and that as soon as the opportunity arose, the prophet (sws) would not have hesitated to use force to subdue the Arab pagans.

It is amazing to hear people spreading lies about Islam like this. It is clear that the attacks against the Meccan caravans were not aimed at robbery.
