Bit of a shame that the article does not explain that to mine the diamonds and achieve this highest carat price in the world ,that it also cost almost all of that to mine making it one of the lowest profit wise diamond mines in the world.
Having the highest diamond price in the world means nothing if the cost to mine is most of the total carat price.
But lets not let a good story get in the way of the financial facts.
