I am not kidding that the whole sector needs to take a holiday. Produce no gold or silver for 1 month. All employees have annual leave. Tough times require tough measures and people should be forced to use annual leave first.

Costs will be recovered by a corresponding increase in the price of scarce physical metal after 1 or 2 or more months.

Close the plants and take the opportunity for maintenance perhaps major maintenace planned for later in the year.

Those without leave stay at work and participate in maintenace or cleanup or some other activty but no gold and silver produced. Whether 1, 2 or more months the price will rise if there is no supply. The leaders in this sense should be the big producers. They cannot be penalised for taking plant out for major maintenace whether scheduled or not.They also cannot be forced to operate if costs exceed selling price.
