"A manger succeeds in a particular position and is promoted to a higher level. Then further success is rewarded with further promotions until the manager reaches their level of incompetence. Failure at that level is then a disaster for everyone."

Does the word Donald Trump mean anything here?

How many good CEO's do we see on the ASX?

would one be out on a long thin limb to say -------------- not many - indeed, a truly good one -------- very rare birds

what do many have in common? --------- showmanship

how many actually outperform the majority ----------- and, when they leave - the stack of cards doesn't fall over?

how many don't sound like politicians in election mode when they speak to shareholders?

how many are on salaries that most of us can relate to and say - well, that's value?

Oz - and many other places are a river of incompetent management - with a few beacons floating in it

ditto so called professionals ------- go and get a few opinions from people who are 'qualified' to give them ----- one finds large differences in opinions

all can't be right - most must be wrong
