these graphs are actually very misleading.
lithium is lithium is lithium.
and for a long time it's main use has been batteries.
But not all graphite is equal, and most of the graphite used currently (for steel making iirc?) Is not necessarily suitable for batteries.
so if this graphic used "battery-grade graphite "then it'd be off the chart. It's one of the reasons graphite doesn't get as much attention as lithium.
