US: Democrats want to provide> 450 billion USD for electrified traffic reversal
Turnaround in the US could become a hot topic in the next election campaign for the President of the United States of America. The US Democrats have already positioned themselves one year in advance. A $ 454 billion investment would be made in order to replace any car on American roads with a zero-emissions car by 2040.The plan would "reduce the number of CO2-emitting cars on the road, create thousands of well-paid jobs, and accelerate the transition to zero-carbon emissions by the middle of the century," Senator Chuck Schumer of the Democrats told Reuters. The US $ 454 billion will flow into the expansion of the charging infrastructure and the subsidization of related vehicles over the next ten years.Schumer indicated that most of the sum should be invested in a generous rebate program to make e-cars more affordable. $ 45 billion is to go to communities to expand the infrastructure. $ 17 billion was earmarked for automakers. Subsidies of $ 3,000 or more for individual buyers are currently envisaged. These would help replace 25% of the US fleet or 63 million vehicles within 10 years with equivalent zero-emission alternatives.
