And having been on the receiving end of being taken out as a minority shareholder in Osim (Singapore listed company with Chinese operations) I think it very prudent that shareholders tread carefully here. The possibility of an opportunistic take out of minorities by the Chairman is very real. Always pays to know who the minority shareholders are and their motives.

On another note, retailers in China are really struggling. I have investments in a number of SNG and Hong Kong listed companies with retail operations in China. Despite the official retail figures still indicating growth, the reality is that the retail environment is very competitive and difficult at the moment.
