    Getting back to the subject of the thread header...I’ve been continuing to follow the publicity trail for BioElixia BodyShaper in the United States (ie checking to see that it does exist!)

    The Dr M blog I mentioned earlier in this thread has now appeared on Lucky Mag. (1) Lucky Mag specializes in fashion and beauty and covers everything from the high through to the lower end. Visitor median age is early 30s and median income approx. $100,000. There are claimed to be 1 million unique visitors monthly.(2)

    BodyShaper has also received coverage on New You, which describes itself as “The Voice of Beauty and Anti-Aging”. 67% of visitors are in the in 35-54 age bracket and 48% have household income in excess of $250,000. There are claimed to be 150,000 unique visitors monthly.(3)

    BodyShaper has also made it as one of Monster and Critics’ September 2013 Best Beauty Finds.

    We tested a slew of products and winnowed it to a small group that actually made a difference... The secret weapon is their TPM® Dermal Delivery Technology. TPM® is a non-irritant delivery system developed from natural Vitamin E. It gets the active ingredients in the skin helping to soften the look of hail damage.

    The Monsters and Critics site is claimed to reach over 1 million USA uniques per month. It would appear to target the mass market.(4)

    Another recommendation for BodyShaper can be found on Juicy online. Juicy covers “Celeb life. Hair. Beauty” and is targeted at the African American female demographic.(5) Can’t find stats.

    BodyShaper also made the October horoscope beauty recommendations posted by Dermstore. Dermstore is a leading skincare e-commerce site and a stockist of BodyShaper. It sells over 26,000 products. It’s been performing so well it was bought out by Target in August but will continue operating as a separate entity in its own name.(6,7) Dermstore facebook has 184,000 likes.

    And then there’s twitter and facebook. 5wpr twitter (11,000 followers) gives BS a plug (8) as does its facebook site (9), both on November 7. Beautypress (4400 followers) calls it “cellulite contouring extraordinaire”(Nov 6) and there’s a photo of a BioElixia presentation that you can click on in their Media Gallery. (10)

    BS has also garnered a mention on other twitter threads including Kim Weling (New York fashionista) (11) and Amy Marks-McGee ( trend researcher and writer). (12) Both are dated November 6 and both include BodyShaper photos.

    What all of this will mean for sales I have no idea. But yes, there is a publicity trail providing evidence that BodyShaper in the United States is at least being given a fighting chance.
