A commercial facility is one which is able to generate profits as a stand alone facility, regardless of the broader corporate overheads of the parent.
In technology commercialisation, the size should always be the smallest size that would still hold true to being profitable. And in ECT's case we are targeting a 35,000 tpa facility. So in the interest of being "technically correct", the upgrades at the Bacchus Marsh facility will serve as a commercial demonstration of the Coldry technology and from this we will be able to determine what constitutes the optimum minimum size and scale for all future facilities. Your connection to 150,000 tpa comes from a design generated commercial target, which in the absence of live demonstration is often all you have to determine your commercial targets for throughput, however, a live demonstration (like we are proposing) will always hold greater efficacy in proving commercial viability than design plans. Hence, if we generate earnings from a 35,000 tpa facility, then we have proven that Coldry is commercially viable at that scale.
