    Hi Boys and Girls,

Everyone knows there are 180 degrees in a triangle. And if i draw three imaginary lines linking any three cities on the map of Australia (eg Brisbane - Sydney - Adelaide), obviously the sum of the angles that are formed equals 180 degrees.

    However...

If I start at the North Pole, and draw a line down a Meridian to the equator and head East, that angle would be 90 degrees. If I continue heading East along the equator for one quarter of the earth's surface, and then head back up another Meridian to the North Pole, that angle would also equal 90 degrees. And obviously where these two Meridians meet at the North Pole would also equal 90 degrees. 90 + 90 + 90 = 270 degrees.

Can someone point out my error?

    BB
