Trump Organization sentenced. Next up, NY AG Tish James suit against Trump Org AND Tump personally

The Trump organization was convicted of 17 criminal counts for a 15-year-long tax fraud scheme. Notwithstanding the scope and brazenness of the Trump Org's crimes, the sentence: a mere $1.6 million. One suspects that the Trump Org could find 1.6 mill in its very gaudy couch cushions.

After the judge handed down the sentence, New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg made a splashy statement about how this "consequential sentence serves as a reminder to corporations and executives that you cannot defraud tax authorities and get away with it." Bragg should have added, 'unless your name is Donald Trump.' This video puts Bragg's statement to the test by examining how Alvin Bragg handled the criminal investigation into Donald Trump.

The good news is, if today's sentencing puts the Trump Organization on life support, New York Attorney General Letitia James is preparing to pull the plug, as a result of her quarter-of-a-billion suit against Trump, his organization, as well as Don Jr., Eric and Ivanka.
