Seriously, do you understand how clinical trials pass or fail? This is beyond funny.
By your rationale, almost every clinical trial in the history of clinical trials can therefore be considered a success, so long as the drug or device was ‘reasonably safe’ and ‘worked a little bit’, and even if the trial was technically a failure and the drug or device never got approved. That sure is a strange and twisted marker of ‘success’.
Without statistical significance vs placebo, drugs do not get approved.
By your rationale, the 3 terminated AZ trials were a triumph and success for Starpharma because no one died.
By your rationale, VivaGel condom commercialisation has been a success because someone bought a packet yesterday in Japan.
By your rationale, a loss-making 20 year investment in Starpharma has been a success because 40 odd Starpharma staff have been employed during this time and pay taxes.
