I posted the following two links and map on the AVZ threads last night which were moderated for being off topic. Apparently strongly increasing refugee numbers, a US$504 million UNHCR appeal to cope with the problem (involving 31 partners), and near on a million people escaping the country into neighbouring countries is not relevant to the discussions on those threads. Not to mention that the UN has recently said the situation is at breaking point (see previous post).
The Chinese are all too willing to exploit the countries mineral riches but aren't big contributors to maintaining the safety and security of the country. China's contribution to the 23,000 plus strong force is only 234 (13 experts and 221 troops). Esh
